Montessori of Macon is the only Montessori school in Middle Georgia which is accredited by the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the Southern Association of Schools and Colleges (SACS). We are concerned with educating the whole child for a whole world. Our concept of whole child encompasses and celebrates the social, emotional, physical, spiritual, and intellectual aspects of being human.
Montessori of Macon has MOVED!!!
We are excited to announce the opening of our new school campus located at 855 Tolliver Place, Macon, Georgia. Last year, our school purchased 9.3 acres nestled in the woods and bordered by two streams. For the 2009/10 school year, we opened our Toddler and Primary programs on our new campus. During the summer of 2010, we moved our remaining classrooms - Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary and Middle Years. Our entire school community is excited to have everyone on our new campus ... surrounded by natural resources ... and enjoying our brand new, spacious Montessori classrooms.

A note from a school parent...
I’m excited to tell you about a great program that can bring free books to our school. It’s called the SunnyD Book Spree, and the program will donate 20 classroom books to every classroom that sends in 20 SunnyD UPC labels. The program will also award hundreds of books to the ten schools that collect the most labels. Last year, SunnyD donated 84,000 books to schools across America. It would be fantastic if our school could benefit this year. Imagine every classroom getting 20 new books! Maybe even hundreds of new books for our library! Toddler 1 Class - Ice Cream Social
Ms. Deidra and Ms. Ember's Toddler Class will be having an Ice Cream Social on August 31st from 5:30 - 6:30pm. Bring your favorite topping to share!
Volunteers for Annual General Meeting
Thank you for all the volunteers who have signed up to bring something. We have enough paper products, cups, plates, etc. We also have several who have signed up to bring drinks. What we need most now is snacks/food. So if you can bring something to share, please let me know. See you Sunday!
